“I thank the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) for fighting fraud. They are very intolerant to thieves,” said President Museveni at the commissioning of Jinja-Kamuli road yesterday.
The 58-kilometre stretch road is a government of Uganda funded project that cost Ugx 79bn. The President also flagged off the construction of Kamuli Town roads. This project will cost Ugx 40bn and will run for a period of 18months – under the micromanagement of UNRA’s in house construction/supervision team.
The President pledged to construct more government sponsored roads and provide ferries in both Busoga and areas across Uganda.
“The government will construct more roads in Busoga and also provide a ferry,” Museveni said.
