I learnt with sadness the death of Maama Nabukalu Virigo Kiwanuka, mother to His Excellency the Vice President, Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi. Please accept, on behalf of Government, my own behalf and my family, our heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences.

Today the nation sends off a mother of great wisdom, community leader and an elder who contributed to the development of Uganda.

We pay tribute to Maama Virigo Nabukalu for her contribution to nation building through raising her children who have contributed greatly to the development of Uganda.
